Musical Description
Instrumental guitarist Randy Ellefson, from Gaithersburg Maryland, has released two albums of hard rock but now returns with two new albums, both a stylistic departure.

Serenade of Strings is a unique style of acoustic guitar songs inspired by the dark ballads from metal bands of the 1980s. The instrumentation ranges from solo pieces to full band songs with layers of rhythm and lead guitars, bass, percussion, and drums. Energetic, majestic, introspective or forlorn, the songs bathe the listener in the beauty of the guitar.

The Lost Art is solo classical guitar pieces from the standard repertoire, ranging from the Baroque era to the modern and alternating from bright, snappy pieces to dark, brooding ones.
